OK I got a  27" dotronix monitor from GGG and it has a 9pin VGA hook up.

I got a Arcade VGA card from Ultimarc with a 15pin VGA hook up.

I got a 15pin VGA cable cut  and stripped.

Got a Radio Shack 9pin connector plug end.

Got a multi meter with a crap load of dial settings on it.

So help me out. I guess I'm looking for continuity from wire to pin with multi meter.
I get the part about red thingy on one side and black thingy on other but what about all these settings on the dial?

Am I on the right track? :banghead:

:laugh2: :laugh2:,sorry but this is funny-if you want to meter continuity in cables its best to use either ohms setting or better if you have a bleep test(gets your leads in correct black always to common and the red should go to volts ac/dc,ohms not amps)-once again sorry to laugh :laugh2:

I don't get whats so funny. I don't know what I'm doing. I'm not sure continuity is even what I'm looking for. :tool:

Ok let me just ask this:
