I need a sega trackball....is the one in the sports pad for the genesis the same as in the sega arcade cabs? |
| DaveMMR:
Doubt it highly - especially considering the extreme size difference. |
| TheRed:
cool, thanks! Just looking for a cheap alternative. Plus I can't even find a sega trackball around :( |
| DaveMMR:
Are Sega trackballs any different than Happs? Because the Happs ones are pretty good. Check the B/S/T. |

I don't know about trackballs too much, but someone told me something in sega track balls is "negative" while happs are "positive". he said: --- Quote ---all arcade sega trackballs games from the late 80's, 90's and 2000's are the same. And all use the same optical sense boards for the X/Y and use negitave logic. These require the special optical/spinner and a Naomi I/O board to function. --- End quote --- --- Quote ---Sega trackballs use negative logic, Atari and Happ use postive logic I believe. --- End quote --- Again....I don't really know what that means, but he does and I trust him enough to look for the right one before using the little money I have. :) |
