You can only 'refresh your main game list'. The idea being that your create this first then make custom lists from this using filters or manually using the MaLaGamelist tool.

How many items are in the list you made up? Did you make them manually.  Don't forget you can make lists automatically based on certain criteria. (See attached pic)

*sigh*

I guess I have to re-do all of my custom lists again?

MALA is seeming less and less likely to remain my FE.

Don't give up too easily, MALA is relatively new, but seems to be quite capable of being a full time slap-ya-momma FE.

NOTE:  I currently use MAMEWAH (from 2 years ago for my first cabinet - never updated)

I do sympathise but I still don't understand why you created customs lists with roms you don't have in the first place? Very Odd I feel.   :-\

Mame setup is clearly documented on the Website:

Well the custom lists were created before I knew that mala had to be told not to show games I dont have, which - in itself- is extremely lame.  Even MAME32 will let me know in some way that I don't have ROM X or  Clone of GameX.  Mala just put *everything* it's ever heard of in the list.

It should be able to manage the custom lists it can create as well as it's main list.  I really don't know why that isn't an option with it.
