You can see I am using wood strips on the inside to secure everything.

Right on Silverwind - precisely what I had in mind! I was going to use rubber though for that extra bit of friction!

I'm countersinking plain old #8 wood screws into my CP, right through the plexiglass.  Holds the plexi to the CP, and the CP to the box.  Just have to be careful not to crack the plexi when tightening down.

there are some pics around here...

Line the top of the box edges with velcro, reinforce with small wood screws and washers.  It works great for me.  I like the wood strips on the inside idea...maybe if I get a hair to do another cab.... :)

OH Oh..i see..I just did the plain old school way..some tacks ;D..IF i ever need to open my control panel then I do that by fliping the panel over and unscrew the bottom piece of wood.
Besides,I wont ever need to open my panel because I have all the interface(dreamcast, psx, usb) outside in a seperate box and I use molex connecters to switch between systems.Anything ever goes wrong with the interface,I just open the seperate box and fix...Hopefully nothing will ever go wrong with the interface(joints coming off and all) :P
