Why have Search?

Seriously, I like the board but the search function really sucks. I participate in many forums and this has by far the worst search result  'finding' and 'displaying' evar!

I have tried many time to find recent posts using words I know were in the thread and the search came up with zilch. I am thinking thats why so many people keep asking the same things constantly.

Sorry if it sounds harsh but the truth seems to suck sometimes.

Have you tried changing the max # of days to search, or the max # of hits to show?  

I did a search on the word "sucks" that you used in your post, with the default search settings, and didn't get any hits newer than August 2002...  I did the same search telling it to look only 3 days back and got your message and a couple of others.  

I don't know what you were looking for but I suspect that you were capping out at 100 older hits and not getting anything newer.  If you would give your search paramenters it would be more useful to troubleshoot.
