Developers invited to beta-test new LED-Wiz ActiveX control (multi-unit capable)
(1/1)
RandyT:
As the subject states, if you are a developer working on LED-Wiz support and have multiple units you would like to control, contact me.

I have just finished writing / testing the code and I think the bugs are pretty much squashed.

The OCX also includes a sample VB6 program that will identify the number of LED-Wiz devices attached to the system and  what the device numbers are.  It also provides a command window to communicate with them.

If everything seems to be working ok for everyone, I'll make the OCX freely available.  Hopefully this will help bridge the multi-unit gap until a new resident application can be made available.

Thanks,
RandyT

Thank you very much for this Randy! I'll be emailing you tonight :)
RandyT:

Whew, this took longer than anticipated.  Decided to add a couple of extra commands and make some proper documentation.

The documentation can be viewed by clicking here (Acrobat Reader required)

The package has been sent to those who first requested it.  If I missed anyone, please let me know.

BTW, the license agreement is basically boiler plate to protect against malicious use of the hardware/software.  Anyone in  this community who wishes to use / re-distribute the control as part of their application(s) can pretty much consider it "rubber stamped" as approved.

Thanks,
RandyT

Thanks Randy! I'll start playing with it this weekend. The documentation is most helpful!
MYX:
As soon as I can get the darn thing wired, I will play with it.
