Prefered 4-Way for Wood Panel
« on: April 06, 2002, 02:58:01 pm »
What 4-Way stick does everybody use for wooden control panels?  It looks like Happs only sells 4-ways that are intended for metal CPs.

Anyway... I'm just curious as to what everybody has used, and what they recommend.

Looks like www.ultimarc.com is going to start selling some in a week or so.  From the look of them they should be wood-mountable....but I'm not sure.

Technically speaking my panel is wooden, but it's a little different than most peoples... anyways you can check out where I spoke about my four way (boy I'm glad we're all geeks and everyone here knows what I'm talking about when I say "four way" LOL) on my panel in this thread:

Heh.... that was a link to a thread I started.

So, is that one of the Happs Pacman joysticks you're using?  I'm not sure if I could use that for mine.  Your CP surface is thinner than most wood CPs.

Thanks for the help!

A friend and I were in the men's room discussing my arcade project and I was talking about how I wasn't sure I'd have room on my control panel for my 4-way.  A Butthead like voice came from the stall: "he he, you said 4-way".  I roared laughing.
