Dude, thanks alot. I just got done drilling the holes for the CP on my 1st Mame cabinet and I'm sooo siked!
Now I got a cool overlay to put on while I wait for my buttons to arrive from Happ.

I really appreciate it.

Now, how am I going to put it on. I made my CP out of 3/4" finished pressboard(the kind of wood entertainment centers are made of). Its got a real smooth finish so I figured I will just print it out at Kinko's(High gloss) and attach it with spray adhesive. Any suggestions?

My CP is 27" by 15" fighter style with a trackball in the middle.

YOU ROCK!

No problem ;D
Tomorrow(no idea when)I will make it like 27x15 if you want.
You wanna call your joystick anything?
As for suggestion, clamp or screw a piece of lexan with the wood.
Cut all holes for buttons/bolts and everything first.
Then unclamp or unscew(if you use screws with finishing washer) THEN use spray adhesive to attach the print.

NEVER EVER attach the prints first then try to drill..i mean common sense you see..you will ruin the artwork(fair warning).
Print on vinyl if you want. Its cheap, looks great and wont scratch easy like photo paper or other paper(vinyl is perfect for this..seen mine?).

PS:Sirpoonga,
I takes more then a minute ;).First it took about half hour to take out spiderman from mamestation1  artwork then do same with venom(the background was some weird brown background so no shortcut there).

Then hunt down some cool background and thats it..total time was almost 2 hours..I am gonna use this for myself too(making a small joystick again).

BTW, that overlay is all stock mvsc graphics.  Would take a minute to do in photoshop, even with limited knowledge of photoshop or any graphics editting software :)  I'm not into taht software much, but I do know how to use the extract tool from photoshop ;)

Hey thats cool, good for you. But I dont know how to Photoshop so well. So I think it rocks that Snaake took a minute to do it for me. Nuff..

Anyhoo, Snaake are you gonna post a revised overlay with your name on it? If so can you make it BIG so's it stretches well?

I cant wait to get this beeaatch printed!

I have gotten no Ideas as far as a name for my machine. Thats the girlfriends dept.
Although, I have spent sooo much time on this thing the past month that she is referring to the machine as my mistress.(she's a little jealous I think)

After looking at yours, I think vinyl is the way to go for the overlay. Kinko's prints this?
I actually ordered black vinyl for the sides of the cab from Happs. I will post some pics soon of  my beast in progress...

Here is the one I was working on.  I stopped because I was trying to do something with the dark space in between, but nothing seemed right as this battle between these two is so dark.

Anyway, here was my layout.

I like it, only if venom had some sort of tint, instead of being black and white.....
