MAMEWAH, resequencing platforms, but losing game lists
(1/1)
MPTech:
I just learned a couple days ago that I can change the order of my platforms in MAMEWAH (IE: ATARI, MAME,  SEGA, SNES, VPinball, etc) by re-naming the .ini's, for examples 01MAME, 02VPinball, 03SNES, 04SEGA, 05ATARI.

I did this and it worked great, BUT I lost all of my game lists.  (I know they are still there somehow).
So how do I re-associate them?
Congui:
Hi there.

When you originally created the emulator.ini files in mamewah, and generated their gamelists, the gamelists  file names (.ftr, .fav and .lst) had the same names as the ini files.  For example mame.ini generated the following file: mame-0.ftr, mame-0.lst, mame-1.ftr, mame-1.lst and mame.fav.  If you changed the mame.ini file for 01mame, mamewah isn't going to find them unless you rename the files as 01mame-0.ftr, 01mame-0.lst, 01mame-1.ftr, 01mame-1.lst and 01mame.fav; or you can generate once more the gamelist  >:D.

BTW, I'm using mamewah v1.61.

Hope this helps,
Congui

Congui,
  I'm using 1.61 as well.
This is helpful.  I assumed it was storing the lists, but didn't know where or what they were called.  Now that I know what I can search for where!

cool,   I'll have a looksie   ;D

thanks again!    MPTech

MPTech hi.

Glad it helped.  I'm not sure if  "Now that I know what I can search for where!" was a question, but the gamelist are in the following folder: mamewah\files.

Cheers,
