LedWiz and attract mode questions
« on: June 06, 2006, 03:49:48 am »
I am using command line PM and I have a question.  I was able to make the .cfg file okay and the game operations work great.  I don't know how to make the attract mode work properly.  As of right now, only the right side of my cp is lighting for the attract sequence.  There is one button on the left, but that is it.  On the ledwiz, I do have all the lights for the right side on the same side as the ledwiz, but I still get that light on the left lighting, so I'm not real sure what's going on.  Is there one of the files I need to change or something?  Again, I do have the controls part working fine, it seems to be just an issue with the attract mode.

mccoy178,

I had the same problem. I can't actually remember what it was that fixed it but heres what I did :

1. Re-ordered the ledwiz.cfg file into numerical order (I had originally messed up the order)

2. Used my own ledwiz animation - I'm sure (but could be wrong) that the supplied "default" anims that come with powermame only lit up the PL2 buttons. When I replaced them with my own it worked.

Hope that helps !

Personally I am very impressed with the ledwiz and powermame. I need to work out some decent animations then add them all togethr. Then I need to work out how to get them to run in mamewah ........ I think I need bloodywiz.exe but I haven't got round to reading the docs yet.

Buks

mccoy, did you get this working in the end ?

I think i read somewhere that you use mamewah - if so, can you let me know how you get the attract mode working in mamewah ? I've downloaded mahutis setledwiz program but it looks like you use it to display the button config in the FE (but I could be wrong). Powermame works great for attract mode and showing buttons its just the FE side I'm stuck on.

Cheers mate !

I have not yet got this working with the FE.  There is some talk in the software forum about adding support to Johnny5 for the ledwiz, so I'm waiting to see where that goes first.  I'll keep you updated though if I make progress.

Cheers mate. I'm going to post a couple of questions in the software forum and see where I can get.
