Dude! My monitor on my vert touched the glass as well. I ended up mounting the monitor with the brackets backwards so I could force the monitor to sit at least three inches away from the glass, but the trade-off is that I can't put in a piece of wood for the back of the cab.

Fair trade.
DaveJ-UK:
I originally bought a generic electrocoin 3 button cab with wiring intact and a monitor that powered on but not much else. Originally intended on MAMing it but by the time I had it working good as new I'd somehow aquired a 2 button Sega Athletics cab. It hash a much bigger monitor and room for an extra 4 buttons per player so I MAMEd that instead.

Now I have;

Generic 3 button as dedicated Neo Geo
Horizontal MAME cab (still being worked on)

I am building my second cab right now. I have decided to donate my first cab to a children's home here in town. Although I would like to keep all the cabs i will build, I figure it is just selfish to hoard  them all to myself. There are some out there more unfortunate, so I thought it would be nice to bring some joy into someones life, probably more than it could ever bring into mine.
Jeffy:
I am somewhere between y'all.

One Scratch Built
2 Generic Jammas (bought at a junk yard working, still debating on how to fix em up)

If (when??) I build another it will be more portable--I scaled up the Lujsid design (big dummy, me) and the thing is massive--I would (or will) go with a modular, coctail, or mini for the next one.
