| Connecting 2 spinners and 2 trackballs to my PC for MAME |

I wanna connect 2 spinners (I hear there is a 2 player bootleg/knockoff version of arkanoid, and I wanna use them for driving games) and 2 trackballs (for kabal and other dual trackball games) to the same PC for use in MAME. The are all USB. Do I need special harware to use each independently (so they don't conflict with one another) like an optipac or anything like that? I have 2 usb trackballs that connect via USB and will be getting 2 USB spinners (don't know which kind but I am leaning towards slikstik tornado). I appoligize if this topic has come up, but I did a search on here and google but really haven't found a deffinitive answer on what I need to do to get this configuration to work well. I am using Windows XP SP2 and the latest MAME 32. So far, I have had 2 trackballs working simultaneously in MAME (played 2 player cabal with them and they work great), but if I were to add 2 spinners, I wanna know if anything is needed to get them to work properly as well. thanx! P.S. I also wanna connect my 2 LCD topgun's to this (these are USB as well) same PC |

Since v105, Mame manages the mice (trackball, spinners, LCDTopguns) like independent devices, like the joystick. So you will have Mouse1, mouse2, mouse3, etc. You will need to remap the controls to uses the mouse you like. |

so I am not gonna need an optipac; just plug and play? |

Which mouses are you using? |

if you are using usb then no you dont need anything, you may have to go into input general settings and map out the mice and spinners. |
