| Min Req's for Tekken? |

| KillerArcades:
anyone know what sort of system specs you need to be able to run Tekken without it being sluggish/choppy? I've got a 1100 mHz Intel right now with 1 GB of RAM (I know, I know, way more RAM than I need, I'll be pulling out one of the 512 sticks to use in my next cab), and all three tekken roms I have (1-3, I believe), run horrible!! Maybe it's just the MAME/rom compatibility isn't where it needs to be quite yet? (MAME Dev's, Puh LEEEEZZ work on these if you haven't already). Or else it's my computer I figure. When I run my sys Performance/processes check, my CPU is max'd out, so I pretty sure I need to crank it up, but I'm not sure just how good of a sys I'm going to need, etc. :( Anyways, any info would be appreciated. Oh, one more thing, as I said, I've only got three Tekken roms, so perhaps there are some better roms (bootleg's, etc?) that I need to explore, if so, a simple "nod" to tell me to keep looking would be helpful also). Thanks, |

I've heard a lot of people say Tekken runs better using the Zinc emulator than MAME, but I've never tried it. |

download zinc and the renderer files here: http://www.emuhype.com/ then check out this thread in their forums: http://www.bannister.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=24;t=001789 |
| KillerArcades:
so, zinc's the way to go, eh? Nothing I can do to get it to work better in MAME, huh? Not sure about a whole separate emulator just for tekken..... :( |
| Havok:
Some of the front ends out there have a provision to run whichever emulator is better - Zinc is a small program. Now that HowardC built that config for Zinc, it's easier than ever to configure and use... |
