OK all, I know your gonna send me to search, but I already did that. Also, I've checked the web and attemped a few things, but none are working. I'm looking for instructions on how to set up drivers in dos. Both mouse and soundcard. I'm running an older machine that has win 98, but I'm running it in dos mode. Trackball and SB soundcard work fine in win, but I can't get them working in dos. Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Rick |

you ned to find the DOS SOUND CARD drivers first (whats the model of your soundcard ?). You can use CUTEMOUSE for mouse driver. http://cutemouse.sourceforge.net/ |

I think the problem with my soundcard is that it is a SoundBlaster 64. I haven't been able to find dos drivers for it. I tried using SB16 drivers, but it did not work. Any help here is appreciated! |

Tried the one Peale left (yeah I know...search harder) and it did not work. The install of the drivers appeared to go well, but when I fire up mame and it asks for sound options and I choose "1 Soundblaster" it bombs out. Must be something I'm missing.....suggestions? BTW Peale - wife walked in while I was reading your post. Saw zombie chick and started freaking, "what the hell web site are you on...?"... :laugh2: |
