Gametreks "Bad Boy" Showcase
« on: May 19, 2006, 01:24:22 am »
Just thought I'd share some pics of one of my Bad Boy cabs.  Im known as Gametreks in my area.  I started building Bad Boy cabs 2 1/2 years ago.  This style is my showcase version.  It  houses a 32" monitor and stands 78" tall, 49" deep and 49" wide at the monitor section .  The CP is 37" wide.
I noticed very few people attempt to build this type of cabinet.  Im  always up to a challenge so off I went.  I didn't want to go with the Dynamo showcase cab as its just not practical for the home so I designed my own with versalitity in mind.

The cab can house a xbox, PS2 and DC.  Here are some pics of the finished cab

The audio system is comprised of 350watt car audio speakers with subwoofer mounted in theback of the cab.  After seeing the awesome artwork of Knievel.  I was inpired by his excellence and thought I'd try my hand at coming up with something.   This is just stuff I found on the net and just threw them together.  I was happy with the end result.

Great looking showcase cab! One of the best I've seen... if only I had the space for something like that.

I also like the smaller cab in your photos...it's like a lowboy but with better curves, and control panel.  Did you come up with that design on your own or find plans elsewhere on the net?

I design all my cabs on my own.  Im considering drawing up some plans for the designs if people are interested.  The smaller cab has a very nice curve  design as well.  I have about six original cabinet designs created by me.  Here are some pics of the smaller cab which I call "tiny tot" and my other cab called "Dino".

This cab is great for those with limited space.  It is perfect for apartment living.  As you can see the cab can be opened for easy placement for an LCD monitor and controls.

This cab is "Dino".  These are early construction pics .  This thing is really a sight to behold.  The finished product is more impressive than Badboy.  It also houses a 360 degree rotating LCD and will also tilt foward or backwards.   I will start a new thread on both of these cabs when I get more pics.
