You can also run an older version of mame that ran better. I don't remember the version but there was a point where the emulation became more accurate... but at the same time, slowed down the emulation. |

I tried running it with no sound, and it's definitely smoother, but still runs rather slow. I'm convinced it's just the way my rig is set up... (it was given to me so I can't complain). I'm starting to wonder if the dual cpu setup is hurting things more than it's helping. I'm also pretty sure that the "multimedia audio card" (whatever the hell that is) is making things more complicated than they have to be but the sound has been disabled from the jack on the mobo. I'll have to look into that more -- I hate to give up when I know people are getting satisfactory results, but I'm really not all that good with computers... |
