Free?: 2 (possibly) Abandoned cockpit cabs [East Haven, CT]
Extreme8:
Stopped by during lunch, nobody around to ask whether or not it's junk. I can't imagine any other explaination, but I wasn't willing to risk arrest by just dragging it into the back of my truck without asking first.
NipsMG, if you pass this place on a regular basis can you keep an eye out for the owner and see if we have his OK to take the beast? I've been kicking around the idea of building a driver and this might be a good head start.
nipsmg:
I'll try, but my issue is that I'm at work at 7:00AM and not home until at the EARLIEST 9:30PM due to Work, School and other constraints, I'm NEVER HOME, I just drive by at 6:30AM on my way to work. :-/
If i see him on the weekend or something I'll try to stop but I'm not around much then either :-/
Next time you pass by, leave a note on it w/ your phone number on it or something maybe?! :)
AlexC:
If it's next to the curb it's trash, if its next to the garage outside it's soon to be trash but you gotta wait....
Extreme8:
If it were any closer to the curb it would be in the road, but it still doesn't seem right to pull up in front of the guys house and start hauling stuff away without explicit permission.
It's just started raining here for the first time in weeks - I guess it's now or never.
SirPeale:
If it's on the curb, you really don't need it spelled out for you. It's there to be hauled away. Either by you, someone else, or the trashman.
