| Has anybody tried this before? |

I'm not sure if I want to attempt this or not, but has anybody wired their button LEDs so that they're only on when the button is pressed? I think it could make for a fairly neat looking final product, even if it might be a bit distracting. If anybody has done this, are there some pics or video of it in action? |

Try a search for led posts under his name and see what you can find. |

Not to be negative, I think I said this before when it was discussed, but what's the point of this if your fingers/hands are going to be blocking out most of the view of the buttons when they're being pushed? Just something to consider. |

Yep, that would be me. My idea was with joysticks though, so when you pressed them upwards, a translucent piece of your panel would light, forming an UP arrow. The button idea would be cool too, but I didnt feel like doing that because of the finger thing... I actually considerred just lighting them all. And even though fingers would block them, you would still definately notice the effect, so its not a waste of time. |
