Atomsmasher: Did you use one of those foam rollers or did you use a paint gun? I'm wondering if I really need to buy a paint gun to get a great finish on my cab...

I used a foam roller, a paint gun would of probably been a lot faster, but a roller worked just as well. Just remember to make the coats thin, if you used white primer then you should be able to see some white through the paint until the second coat is on, maybe even the third coat. Lightly sand and wipe it down with a damp rag (to remove any dust from sanding) after each coat.

Yes. Hammerite has provided me with such a quality textured finish on my cab, you cant tell that it has been painted at all!
Its really thick too / strong stuff that will withstand all types of knocks/abuse.

I have access to an airlress paint gun for when I paint my cab. I'll make sure to get some pics up of that to show the results. I've painted wood with it before (outside of a shed) and it goes on easily.
