OH! been busy. I am on 1st now

still stuck working & days a week.
but after 5 years I got the job I have tried for.
I got it 6 months ago. but on 3rd shift. (never got moved over, My dept is hurting on Trained man power.)
some one on 1st got sick of all the avertime and quit
I got bumped to 1st and am moving over soon.
I lost .45 cents a hour but I think I made a smart move.

I thought it would take at least another 10 years to get this job on 1st shift

I work in power steering.... moving to Air Conditioning side.
I have been stuck working 7 days a weak for over a year now. AC side is there on the weekends 1/2 the time I am

I have to run 5 CNC type laths at a time ( power steering side)

AC side . (one) YEP one stinking machine. Half the forced over time,
same pay scale, 

as the song goes WOO... HOOO.....Wooo Hoooo Hoooo

I don't know if I would like working first shift... I've worked 3rds for so long

I prefer 2nd.
grabbed 1st while I could. For The family.
3rd... I never felt right.
1st... I really would love to smash the alarm clock
2ND... I have my personal time on PC when I got home. ( every one a sleep)
wake up at 11 am , spend time with wife and off to work.

after my last kid (10 yrs old gets out of school , I will jump back on 2ND)
I must say its a feather in my cap being the youngest ( 5 yrs there)
(highest paying job) and on first.

I worked second shift for a while, and I didn't like it because I always felt like I had to watch the clock so I wouldn't be late. Worked 3rd shift for a couple months right out of high school. That was the worst work experience of my life. I don't know how people do that for years on end.
