Red LEDs or White LEDs for my red plastic coin rejects?

Just curious.

The Retroblast Guide to wiring up coin door lights left me without an answer as the guided ends with: "In the end I decided to just use the original #161 lamps, as they had a warm yellow glow and just the right amount of brightness."

So, is the red too red?  Is the white too white?
Thanks

I have 1 red and 1 yellow on my coin door reject buttons. It gives a nice orange glow to them.

Ahhhhh... interesting.  So each red reject has a single red and a single yellow LED behind it?

You got any pics?
Thanks

I would imagine using the same color led with the reject button would work the best.  The biggest concern I could see would be blocking them off from each other to avoid bleeding.

I use red on mine.  The "buttons" are actually orange, but they look red when lit.
