To Peale,Flinkly,Fozzy the Bear,Antix, and Hoopz, Thanks for helping the new kid out. Without saying how, I will keep it simple and then just keep it updated. I'll probably be back when I can't figure out how to make the multiple trackballs work. by the way is it in "Properties" or "Dip Switches? Thanks, gars943 |

I'mmmm back! Knew it wouldn't be long. Okay once again- I updated both MAME to v104u6, and roms to v104. I still have v73b installed, I'm on a dell computer with Intel Celeron 2.53 GHz, 1GB RAM, XP, using the Optipac and Ipac boards, and this is what happens: I go from "game menu" to a black screen for about a second then back to the "game menu" the actual game will not start. What steps do I have to take to get the games up and running? gars943 |

Still sounds like bad ROMS to me. Try running ClrMAME Pro or RomCenter to make sure your romsets will work with the new version. Also, make sure MAME32 knows where your new roms are and is showing the games as available. ClrMame instructions here: http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/clrmameguide.htm |

First, don't run the game from a front end. Do it right from the command line, so if there are any errors, they should be on screen so you can troubleshoot. |

Also - you might want to filter available games in MAME32 and see if at least those work. |
