Oh my god, just tried ZINC.....

Lilwolf:
btw, those builds piss off the mame devs and the plugin devs (all at once)

And the ones I've seen only worked with the zinc games (or are there new ones??).

Zinc is great and very inaccurate.  But on my cab... I ONLY run Zinc for those games!   I love all those inaccurate graphics with fsaa and all!

Gameex frontend has a the ability to auto use zinc for games it supports, and mame for games it doesn't.

Isn't there something we can do? Is there an emulator that emulates a lot
of games, like mame, but with the quality of zinc?

epsxe has been my favorite lately. Soul Blade is better than the zinc version, even.

just the speed, but the graphics..oh man. Really bad.

This is how the original arcade game looked.  MAME is not about changing games (even to make them "better").  MAME is about playing these games just as they were in arcades, warts and all.

Sure.  You can appreciate games for what they were, or you can ignore the playability and concentrate only on eye candy like the rest of the world which currently salivates over their XBox 360's and ---smurfy--- games.

Likewise, most of the games that ZiNc emulates had near perfect ports on Playstation (which will also work on a PS2).  You can pick these up off eBay for $10 a pop these days.

The name "ZiNc" comes from the sony ZN hardware, which used the R3000A processor used in Sony's ZN1 and ZN2, Namco's System11 and System12, as well as the Sony Playstation home console.  Hence why the home console versions were so good.

Many good ports also made it to Sega's Dreamcast as well at the time.

As AtomicFE does , and all frontends could , i think. If the FE does seems not provide this features, it is always doable using a .BAT file or a .VBS.
