and they will work with the other speakers I hack??  Can you post a link to your thread
Dizzle:
Wouldn't it be easier to get a 2.1 PC speaker set with the remote volume control?
That way, the only thing you'd have to worry about is how to mount the speakers.

I did the 2.1 hack & replaced sat. speakers with the happ shielded speakers & it works perfect plus the 5" speakers fit in the holes on my slikstik, you can also get speaker cover from happ for about 4.00 that cover up the speakers
thanks

Do you have any suggestions on a cheap pair of 2.1 speakers I can hack??

Is there a thread on how to do the 2.1 hack??
somunny:
I'm not sure how "cheap" you want to but here's what I'm using for the cabinet I'm currently working on.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009W44B/sr=8-2/qid=1142034414/ref=pd_bbs_2/102-0123585-9974530?%5Fencoding=UTF8

Personally, I like it because; 1) it's cheaper than a car amp, 2) It runs off 110VAC (with an adapter) and 3) It gives you a ton of flexibility as to the kind of speakers you can use.

Just my opinion.
