Tempest 3000 ? Can it be played on a PC ?
<< < (6/7) > >>
Lilwolf:
jags didn't have spinners so probably no.  (wasn't this answered above??)

BUT the ps1 did have a mouse option didn't it??   Does X3 work with a mouse??

This seems like it might be a better way to go.  But if I can't use my spinner, I think I wouldn't play it.
clok:
Well I do know the Jag version had a secret menu that enabled a spinner (and you can buy them on E-bay). So I do know the Jag version did work with a spinner. But I'm wondering if the Emulated version does. If the PS one had mouse support that would be nice. Not that its that expensive to try, but can anybody confirm either working with a spinner?

sorry, i'm out of subject, but i read in this thread some post about the game  Ray man.

One asking if it works on a emulator.

You don't need an emulator to run Ray man  on a PC.  A very good PC version exists. (At least in France , it is a French game).

There was also an English release - I had the CD until recently when youngest decided to snap it in half...

At least I still have my Jaguar version!
DefJam:
hello everybody

Ok, well I don't have the answers on above, but check out Tsunami 2010 (can be found by google pretty quick).  Its a really nice remake of Tempest 2000.
Runs great, you can even download the Tempest 2000 soundtrack for it.

I'm fairly sure above is right about T2K on the Jag, I did read somewhere you could use a spinner... now I may be completely nuts, but for some reason I think you can stick the old atari indy contollers into the port and they work (I may have dreamed this, my apologies if this proves to be way off base).

Here was a description from the Tsunami readme file

welcome shooter-fans..

finally it's been released.. tsunami 2010..
after weeks of delay.. (real life rulez! ;)
so pleeeeaze enjoy and play it like nutz!!!

celebrating the upcoming 10th anniversary of
yak's mega-superb jaggy-t2k (which is still
one of my all-time favourite games!) and
making one of my oldest dreams come true..
(=coding a totally new t2k-pcee-rmx-conversion.. ;)

there are a LOT of differences between
the old jaggy version and this one..
not only concerning the gfx+rendering, of course..
(although these are the coolest new features.. =)

(100!) rmxd levels, (14!) rmxd enemies,
(a hell lot of!) rmxd bonus-items,
rmxd gameplay, rmxd everything..
so it even deserved a new name.. ;)

so here it is.. relax and enjoy..
cause THIS was made for YOU!

Enjoy!
