Tempest 3000 ? Can it be played on a PC ?

Well I didn't realize Tempest 2000 was released for the PC, I need to check that out.  I have a Jaguar system with about 20 games (still have an unopened Alien vs. Predator) and the only game that I played a ton of was Tempest 2000.  It rocked, even if not having a spinner wasn't the greatest.  Great soundtrack for Tempest 2000 as well.

It's a shame 3000 wasn't released for the PC at all, hope someone with some skills can emulate at some point...  anyone play the playstation game ?

Just dowloaded for PC, nice title screen, then nothing :)

So how does VirtualPC/ VMWare work, where do you get it ?

Tempest, any version, without a spinner is a waste IMO.

So can you run the Jag emu with Tempest 2000 and will it support the analog spinner?

I've run into the same problem. Opening a DOS prompt from Windows XP and running tempest.exe shows the 'Atari Interactive' title screen, then it craps out with a "No EMS!" error. I right clicked on tempest.exe, select Windows 95 compatability mode, selected 8mb of EMS, XMS and DMPI memory, but it doesn't fix it. I'm out of ideas.

Unless that game's been tweaked and balance for gamepad/keyboard play. Which is what Tempest 2000 is. Don't knock it till you've tried it.
