ZSNES in MAMEWAH?
« on: March 02, 2006, 02:57:08 pm »
Thanks to Minwah I am currently enjoying a monster list of mame games. I now have downloaded the SNES emu Zsnes. I have gotten to the point where Mamewah reads the Zsnesw.ini files in that it recognizes the emu and the list of games. Whenever I want to load a rom however, the loading screen pops up and virtually immediately disappears again!

I have two folders;
C:\Mame which contains mamewah and mame
C:Zsnes which contains zsnesw.exe and the games

This is the .cfg file in my Zsnes folder (without the explanations in there):
FrameSkip = 0
Player1Device = 1
Player2Device = 0
ScanKey1 = 205, 203, 208, 200, 28, 54, 44, 30, 45, 31, 32, 46
ScanKey2 = 209, 211, 207, 199, 26, 27, 38, 37, 25, 24, 23, 36
Pl34to12Share = 0
Execute = 100
VideoModeWin = 7
Sound = 1
SoundRate = 5
Stereo = 1
ReverseStereo = 0
GUIDisable = 1
NewGfx = 1
Scanlines = 3
Interpolation = 1
VSync = 0
EchoDisable = 0
Volume = 100
DontSave = 0
SaveDirectory =
GameDirectory = C:\ZSNES\GAMES

This is my zsnesw.ini file in my Mame folder;

Holy mother of Arcade games! I just figured it out! As I was describing my problem I realised that the commandline format was baaaaaad! Problem solved! Now to get that annoying esc button to work with ZSNES!

Love and joy to the world. I am turning into a genuine geek!

You need to visit my website at http://www.emuchrist.org/cpviewer. There are example INI files there for MANY systems and hacked emulators that are more cabinet friendly (exit with the escape key).

Enjoy,
John

FWIW, if configured correctly, zsnes does exit with the escape key.

Good Luck,
John
