I am looking for a few good men (or women) for a couple of Senior Level Server Engineer positions at my company.  I am having trouble finding good people and essentially it comes down to getting too many "server admins" and not enough server engineer/architect candidates.

Heh, maybe me and 1 of the other guys could get together and do this.....I can do Server, but not the Senior (Very junior level), or Engineer part (although I've always wanted to drive a train)

I think the main prob you will have is that anyone that gets paid to be a Sr. Level Server Engineer, can pay someone else to build thier cabinet for them, and likely wouldn't be reading this...or they run a Forum for folks who build Arcade Controls (Saint is a Network Engineer isn't he? )

Good luck though...and if you are interested to doing ALOT of training, I'm your guy  ;D

I'm a staff engineer and I read it...and built my own cabinet.

Yeah, you rich guys deprive us poor low-lifes of some work.....just kidding  ;D

I'm just jealous of the Sr. Guys paychecks....I seen a couple from the guys I work with...If I made that much, I'd probably pay someone.  ;D

I'm the Director of an IT department. I'm also the Sr. Engineer, Network Admin, SysAdmin and Director of Programming. All in a mixed environment for a company with 10 offices across the country.

I also repair vids and pins and have built several cabinets. I read it too :)

ften:
Sr. System Engineer and in Atlanta here, but I love my job for now.
Although two of my best people just left for other companies, so who knows having triple my workload could make me start to dislike my job real soon. I would agree with the finding good people is hard.
