gamenut:

so how did you fix the problem you were having with the attract mode in powermame?
I'm having the same problem.

mccoy178:

I never did.  Mike fell off the face of the Earth.

gamenut:

I noticed that

Here is the installation of the coindoor wiring.  First I switched out the quarter coin receptors for the token ones.  Here is a pic of them installed:

Next, I added a screw terminal so that if I ever need to take the coindoor off for any reason or need to do any rewiring, I have an easy access point.

Here is a pic of the ground wire ran to the terminal.  I added the wire holder to help keep things organized.

I made a bunch of identical wires then soldered them together.  It worked quite well for the application.

Here is a pic of all the power wires and ground wire ran to the screw terminal.  I also direct soldered the wires to the micro switches instead of quick disconnects.

Just another pic of the wires before I soldered them.  For the noobs of the world.

I numbered the screw terminal for later access.

When connecting the lower screw terminal to the one in the control panel, I made my grouping of wires in advance.  This worked out very well and I highly recommend it to keep the wires looking nice.

Here is the screw terminal in the control panel.  I wanted to make it so that if I ever need to take the cp off, it won't be a huge headache.

Here is where I tied it into the keywiz.  I then went into the keywiz software and told it where they are.

I didn't take pictures of the coindoor lighting hook up, but it was just as simple as the microswitches.  I have the lights routed to the ledwiz for powermame use.

I changed my bootscreen thanks to the tutorial in the wiki using bootskin_free.  Thanks MYX!!!  I just googled "bootskin" and it was like the fifth option down.  I followed the directions in the wiki to a tee using photoshop cs and bam!, there it is.  I also used some of the other regedit tweaks to eliminate popup windows among other things.  I also changed it so there is no longer a log on screen.  Here is the bootskin I used.  It is OSU's legendary coach Hayes.
