mamewah background issue, read through tutorial but weird..

Well,

I have looked through everything and there should be no reason why this is not working. I have reinstalled, changed image formats, recreated ini's from scratch.

I used .97 with my own custom images for a year, so I can't really understand why I'm having issues. I updated .net and directx JIC and that didnt' help.

(bashing head on control panel :) )

NinjaEpisode:
My guess, since it happened to me, is that it's not actually calling 01Arcade.lay but another layout that has similar, if not identical mame settings with the exception of the artwork.

I basically had to go through each layout until I found which one was doing this to me.

Thanks for the reply  ;D

My mamewah.txt shows that it's calling up the arcade.lay (which is mine), and I can tell that it's mine because the artwork boxes (although it has a mamewah logo) are placed in the correct spots on the screen. They don't match the positions on the default layouts.

I saw that my desktop was running at 1280x1024, so I turned it to 1024x768 to make sure it wasn't a fluke with resolution. This did not fix the issue, and I will be running the machine on a 19" monitor that will be on 1024x768

I am lost here. Are you simply saying that your snaps don't display? If so please post your ini file. It is very simple and must be a path issue.

haldir:
I searched the forums and found people had the same issue but no real resolve.

My actual background for mamewah will not show up, no matter what I do. It just always displays the gray (default) color background found under your image in mamewah layout designer.

Also, mamewah is still pulling up the original "mamewah" logos under my artwork, even though I have files already set for those.

I can throw an image of it if you want, just give me an email and I'll send a caputre shot.

Thanks for trying to help :)

My artwork paths in arcade.lay match all locations. Nothing has been moved or altered.
