Well, I have looked through everything and there should be no reason why this is not working. I have reinstalled, changed image formats, recreated ini's from scratch. I used .97 with my own custom images for a year, so I can't really understand why I'm having issues. I updated .net and directx JIC and that didnt' help. (bashing head on control panel :) ) |

My guess, since it happened to me, is that it's not actually calling 01Arcade.lay but another layout that has similar, if not identical mame settings with the exception of the artwork. I basically had to go through each layout until I found which one was doing this to me. |

Thanks for the reply ;D 3/3/2006 12:43:35 PM MAMEWAH launched 3/3/2006 12:43:35 PM Cursor scheme: Windows default, Arrow: (None), Wait: (None), AppStarting: (None) 3/3/2006 12:43:35 PM Desktop colour: 9981440 3/3/2006 12:43:35 PM Wallpaper filename: C:\Documents and Settings\Disney\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Wallpaper1.bmp 3/3/2006 12:43:35 PM Display mode: 1280x1024 @ 60Hz, 32 bit colour 3/3/2006 12:43:35 PM Decimal symbol: '.' 3/3/2006 12:43:35 PM Games list read: arcade-0.lst 3/3/2006 12:43:36 PM Layout selected: C:\mamewah\layouts\Custom\arcade.lay 3/3/2006 12:43:36 PM Ctrlr file selected: C:\mamewah\ctrlr\default.ini 3/3/2006 12:43:43 PM Games list read: arcade-0.lst 3/3/2006 12:43:48 PM MAMEWAH quit My mamewah.txt shows that it's calling up the arcade.lay (which is mine), and I can tell that it's mine because the artwork boxes (although it has a mamewah logo) are placed in the correct spots on the screen. They don't match the positions on the default layouts. I saw that my desktop was running at 1280x1024, so I turned it to 1024x768 to make sure it wasn't a fluke with resolution. This did not fix the issue, and I will be running the machine on a 19" monitor that will be on 1024x768 |

I am lost here. Are you simply saying that your snaps don't display? If so please post your ini file. It is very simple and must be a path issue. John |

I searched the forums and found people had the same issue but no real resolve. My actual background for mamewah will not show up, no matter what I do. It just always displays the gray (default) color background found under your image in mamewah layout designer. Also, mamewah is still pulling up the original "mamewah" logos under my artwork, even though I have files already set for those. I can throw an image of it if you want, just give me an email and I'll send a caputre shot. mame.ini ### mamewah.ini (mamewah v1.61) ### ### (Global) Screen-Saver Options ### delay 300 slide_duration 3 ### Audio Options ### enable_sounds 1 sound_volume 100 music_path enable_music 1 music_volume 100 ### Movie Options ### intro_movie_file exit_movie_file keep_movie_preview_aspect game_aspect delay_before_movie_preview 2 music_movie_mix mute_movies movie_volume 100 ### Misc Options ### layout Custom ctrlr wrap_list 0 remember_current_game 1 keep_image_aspect 1 refresh_images 0 correct_orientations horizontal safe_mode 0 show_cursor 0 keyboard_led_states -,-,- winipac_file mamewah_ipc_file lcd_com_port 1 lcd_settings exit_action choice app_to_run_on_exit ### Settings used by MAMEWAH ### current_emulator arcade locked 0 last_ipc =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ### arcade.ini (mamewah v1.61) ### emulator_title arcade ### List Generation Settings ### rom_path c:\mame\roms rom_extension zip dat_file C:\mame\mame.dat nms_file catver_ini_file list_generation_method dat_file ### Execution Settings ### emulator_executable c:\mame\mame.exe commandline_format [name]{autodosbox}{nosafelaunch} alt_commandline_format_1 [name]{autodosbox}{nosafelaunch} alt_commandline_format_2 [name]{autodosbox}{nosafelaunch} game_specific_config_path ### Artwork Locations ### artwork_1_image_path c:\mame\snap artwork_2_image_path c:\mame\flyers artwork_3_image_path artwork_4_image_path artwork_5_image_path artwork_6_image_path artwork_7_image_path artwork_8_image_path artwork_9_image_path artwork_10_image_path movie_preview_path movie_artwork_no 1 ### Screen-Saver Settings ### enable_music_in_screensaver 1 saver_type slideshow movie_path movie_fullscreen 1 quit_delay 30 wrapper_executable wrapper_commandline_format [name]{nodosbox}{nosafelaunch} scr_file =-=-=-=-= Thanks for trying to help :) My artwork paths in arcade.lay match all locations.
