*bump* I'd also like to see any cabs or plans..... Thanks. |

I loosely based my cab on a Robotron cabaret. It has a 24" footprint and is 5'6" tall. Not sure what the original cabaret dimensions are for Robotron. |

So a bit of a seque, but I am confused by Cabaret cabs (their history etc). I am very familiar with the standard size cabs, and the much less common cocktail cabs, but: Why did some manufacturers build cabaret cabs? How many arcade games (approx) were released in Cabaret cabs? Were these cabs built for deployment in specific locations? Cheers Olaf |

rdagger , Cool cab :o. Thanks for the pic. Myrmidon Im believe they were/are built for locations were space is an issue that way you can fit more cabs in a smaller area. As far as how many were made your guess is as Good as mine. I imagine that the popularity of a particular game would be a big factor in weather it was released in a cabaret version. There are some still being made by Amoco, The make the Parkman 25Th anniversary and the ms pacman / galaga games in cabarets http://img470.imageshack.us/img470/4856/pacman25thcabaret2mh.jpg As far as specific locations, you would find then anywere you would find fullsize games. |
