What's next

Not gonna happen silver.
See I've been on a mission to "fix" the input system for sometime in mame. See the sad thing is, in many cases they WANT those hacks/inaccuracies. Case in point the lightgun/analog gun deal. It used to be seperate so I have no clue why they merged it, especially considering you can't really play analog games with a lightgun anyway.
Now your next question is "What does that have to do with powermame?" Well the fact of the matter is, changing inputs is so incredibly complicated that keeping up a custom build with these specific changes would prove to be impossible. Input functions of all effected games would have to be modified and thus any input changes to a game would have to be looked at manually. Plus any added games wouldn't be effected by the diff file and thus they'd have to be looked at on a case-by-case basis.
That copuled with the fact that mame's input functions are in a constant state of flux (read constant state of people adding bad code, it gets added and then it's "fixed" back the way it was originally months later) It'd be a full time job just to add that one feature.
Plus it wouldn't be particularly useful considering the only practical use for a change to the input system (in name only) would be projects like controls.dat which don't nor will ever support unofficial builds when it comes to documentation.

Mike, not really PM related, but if you are getting a little tired with PM and need to work on something else for a bit, I'm (and others) are still dying for Windows drivers for the ZVG.
Please?

Hows about a Randomize attract mode LWA possiblility . This way you can make 3 or 4 different LWAs and when in attract it will select one at random, adding a little variety.
