Question on formatting.

Seeing as how it came up, I'm wondering if there's too much info on the main page, or if it's agreeable the way it is.

Example: Encoders. Adding the fistful of them makes the main page tremendously long. Would it be better to list on the main page just the types of encoders and have the list string out on the encoder page of each individual type?

Instead of:

Encoders
Type
Model
Model
Type
Model

would it be better to have

Encoders
Type
Type
Type

and then the list of models in that category on that category's page?

Same obviously would apply to the other pages that could/would get extremely lengthy such as joysticks and buttons.

When I started listing each page like that on the main page I didn't intend it to be a permanent thing, I just figured it was a good spot for a 'full index' sort of thing while we work out the overall format.
I think we should leave it as it is for the moment and move it to another page when the wiki goes public. Or we could just move it to another page now and replace it with a more compact index, but then we'd have to edit both indexes to make changes.

Also, once most pages are decided on, I can reformat the current main page so it splits into two columns, rather than one long list.

I think there's a strong case to be made for you getting "Wiki King" as a custom title :D

I'll just keep adding stuff then and we can see how it'll look or decide later.

The major sections could be simplified too and stuck into the sidebar. I think only the admin (Sirwoogie?) has the ability to edit the sidebar with MediaWiki though

It would be nice to slap a BYOAC logo onto the top of the sidebar too. Maybe PixelHugger or Mahuti's graphic-fu talents could come into play.

Do you have the Atomic Logo used on the tokens? If not, I've got it and can shoot it your way. I'm not so sure I wanna test out my Wiki-fu with pictures just yet.
