I'm pretty excited for the Super Auctions auction on May 2nd in Sacramento. I've never been to an arcade auction and really don't know what to expect. I am looking for a Punch Out/Super Punch Out, Donkey Kong 1,2, or 3, Super Off Road, preferably a Pacman standup that needs some work, and a Lucky 'N' Wild. My main want is a Punch Out machine, can anyone tell me from their experiences at auction the chances I find one or the other games I'm looking for. And how much I should expect to pay for a working, decent shape game? Thanks

Looks like the potential auction in Los Angeles/Orange County in April is no longer listed here:

I have been to several in St Louis. It's a different part of the world, so I'm not sure if our prices will be the same. I went to one in November and it was one of the bigger ones I have been to. Probably 150 arcades, 40 pinballs, 50 bartop games, 20 jukes, other misc. The last one in early April was putrid. Maybe a third of the size with as many or more bidders. In November, there were some retty nice bargains, not in April. For working dedicated classic cabinets, you're looking at anywhere from $100 to $500, depending on condition/title. I have not seen a Punchout in our area. I have seen several Pacman cabinets that need work. They usually go for around $200-$250 give or take, more if they are nice. I have seen a couple of 3 player Offroads. If memory serves, one of the gas pedal controls were not working on the last one and I think it went for under $300. It was in pretty good shape.
It's all a matter of supply and demand at these things. If there are a lot of machines, better deals are to be had. BTW, there is a guy on CL in STL that is selling Pac and Ms Pac cabinets (not working). Not sure what you are looking for, but might be worth shipping. Search 'arcade' in CL STL and he used all caps and is loacated in Madison. :burgerking:

I went to this auction in Orange county California on May 2nd because i didnt feel like driving 9 hours to Sac. and that's where I heard about this website. They had about 150 arcade games, along with pinball, ticket redemption and bulk vending stuff. I believe they are having one again on June 13th. It was located in Anaheim. If anyone wants any info I will be going over there in the next day or 2 to verify the next auction and get an event flier. I will be checking this thread daily.
