wiring perfect 360's into mame cab w/ jpac

(1/2) > >>

mystikjoe:
i'm almost done all my wiring of my cabinet and my question is are perfect 360's able to be used with a jpac?  i'm assuming to power them i'll run them of the power supply.  for the ground on all the switches should i use the pc power supply or should i use the two negative outputs on the jpac.  also i want to wire a 4 way pac man controller in series with the perfect 360 does that pose any problems?  thanks for the help.

Thenasty:
I think you should use the 5v and ground from the Jpac/Ipac. For the 4-way stick being same connection of one of the 360's, its OK as long as no one touches the 360 while playing a 4-way game. To resolve this, u could put a switch for the ground between the 4-way and the 360 so one is only active at a time.

mystikjoe:
there isn't a 5v hookup on the jpac only a ground any other suggestions?

There is a 5 volt connection where you can plug in an LED Harness or an OptiPac. THat is what he is refering to. Definetly a good idea to use some switch to cut the ground when using the other joystick jus to be safe.

so i jump the power from the connector where the leds would plug in i understand this.  as far as the 360's do they work just like a normal controller.  do they output a negative or a positive.  i don't want to blow up the jpac took 4 weeks to get in.  i know i daisy chain the grounds to all the buttons and the 4 way pac man controller but i'm a little unsure of the 360.  thanks for the reply.
