I know 2 people with X-arcades and they don't use them. We play 2d fighting games on console, and it sucks for that. Box has no weight, pcb lags, and the parts are cheap.
I've just built a box out of 3/4" mdf, hacked a DC pad, and installed Happ parts for under 100$. That's what I charged, it costs even less if u have tools.

--- Quote from: markrvp on February 14, 2006, 08:46:04 am ---I bought the single-player X-arcade in January of 2005 directly from X-arcade.  It was advertised as coming with a handful of ROMS and with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

When I got it, it did not have any roms, but rather a link to a French ROM download site.  I discovered that X-arcade offered a BYO kit with a harness that could be used to hook up your own controls.  I called and asked if I could buy the harness so I could expand my controller to 2 players.  That flat out refused.  Since I had had it less than 30 days I asked to return it for a refund then and I would go with another 2 player solution.  They told me they would e-mail me the RMA# and never did.

Based on my personal experience, I feel the X-arcade people are not people of high moral/ethical character.  They misrepresented their product and then refused to honor their guarantee.

Just my 2 cents.

wow....that's so out of character for XArcade. I've had great success with them over the years and they've always given me a great deal on special requests (like broken XArcades for my modules)....and other odds/ends.

PM who you spoke with (if you know)....I'll let one of the top guys there I work with know about your experience.

I have a feeling that was not one of the regular guys over there.

hmm.. my mates and I have some hardcore SF2 and UMK3 sessions on an x arcade 2 player panel, none of us have any complaints... I admit, for 4 way games its a bit annoying, but liveable

yep ill post them in the review section here shortly I had received my stick in 4 way mode so I had a little work before I could fully test them. 4 way works ok for classic games but I gotta have 8 way to play my favorites. My digital camera was discovered broken after not using for a few months. The pictures came out bad due to a cheap camera My brother in law had. He also doesnt know how to use it lol. Sorry Tony! will be up shortly. Stilll covering some games. and diffrent versions of mame32. I think there gone so maybe they will sign up some people on a waiting list if really intrested in a cross platform stick.
