Nice to see my hard work on peoples website for payment. I did the forensic restoration and Zorg did the Vectoring. People should make donations to MAME for new boards to be purchased rather than myself or Zorg. We make artwork for retro arcade classics to help preserve them, not profit from them.
That's not your work... that's a full size TIF scan of DK3 from the CAG artwork that JoyMonkey and company got together to purchase. The $10 goes toward hosting costs. It's a service for people that want to be able to restore their original cabinets. Has been since 2007.
Plus, it would be impossible for anyone to make any money off of your work correctly, because you never released anything you vectored, or anything at full print size. Even I only ever got the 4000px version of anything you cleaned up. Anything full size you've worked on since I've known you sits exclusively on your computer. If anyone is making money off of MAME artwork that you cleaned, they are taking the MAME version and blowing it up full size, so it's not as good quality as it should be.
Since we're on the subject of DK3, though, this is in the note for the MAME artwork:
- (Unknown means) bezel provided by Ad_EnuffWhat was the original source? A scan? A photo? Who provided it?
A lot of the other first MAME artwork files are noted that way (1943, Donkey Kong, etc.). If I was to post a list here at BYOAC, would anybody be able to provide that info?
