The guy who's helping me build my cab suggested we scrap the whole thing and start over in acrylic.

Acrylic PAINT, right? Laying down coats of it on glass to buld up to the thickness you want and then using that? I agree. Use layered acrylic paint if you don't have access to wood. Just remember to use the glass, otherwise the paint is hard to peel off of any other material.

when posting a reply, click on "additional options" then check the "notify me of replies" box. And I just had a great idea...make the cabinet out of old tires.

But I still have to find the thread in the first place ... there have been 3 differrent threads (with DK responding to nullboy) that I know of in recent days and I fully expect nullboy to start others ...
