Hi Guys, Im just about to start my project, but have found out that the biggest sheet of MDF available here in Sydney is 2400mm x 1200mm do i need to make any adjustments in the measurements ? Im planning on building the plans from the book Thanks Ian |

My rough conversion shows the plans for the cabinet sides to be approximately 2000mm tall by 910mm wide, so you will be fine. |

I used 2400x1200 sheets for my LuSiD-based cab. On the "design" page you can download the metric plans in PDF, and see how much waste you can roughly expect from each sheet: http://benchmark.mameworld.net/cab1/ As above, 2400x1200 is fine. |

Thanks Guys Im off to the hardware store on Sat, found out today that they can make cuts for $1, although i thought that this was expencive at first, it does pay for any mistakes im sure to make, so im going to have a good look at the plans and decide on how many to get done. I Figure that this takes the error out of things, saves money on tools i dont have, makes transport easier, build time quicker etc etc (should cost $15 max) I Cant wait to get stuck into this project, i will take photos on the way, and post them here (if successfull) Saint - Thanks for writing the book, and sorry for originally posting this in the wrong forum. My kids (aged 8 & 6) love and cant wait for this project, so if all goes well im planing a mini cab for them - just dont tell the Mrs !! Great forum, i have learnt so much, but still have pleanty to learn. I only found this forum about a month ago, and id never dreamed about building an arcade game before now .......... well cant wait to start, buying the book was a great start I will probably still need some help wilh CP layout, Artwork and set up (to name a few) so i appoligise in advance for all the dumb questions Gee, i wish i lived in the US as it seems you guys are really catered for, there is nothing here in sydney (apart from a big bridge and an Opera house!) 'Thanks Ian |
