Lon:
Hi there, as you can see by the number posts , I'm a newbie;in more ways than just BYOAC membership. I am currently building my first CAB. For my first cab I did not want my lack of wood working skills to affect the outcome of my project, so I chose to build a UAII kit. The kit is mostly assembled but I am waiting on the artwork to be printed by Mame Marquee be fore I finish assembly. the artwork will be full sides and i want to have it in place so I can trim it flush, install the T-moulding and complete Assembly.
i have the computer put together (P4 3.2, ATI9700pro, 1 GB ram, winxp) and I am trying to get the software end nailed down and this is where my first question comes into play;

         I have looked at many frontends and I'm trying to find one that
    1) can be easily used without the keyboard.
    2) Looks nice ( I will be using a 29" monitor capable of 15kHz all the way up to 1600 x1200 at 75MHz)
    3) that can dynamical use a screenshot from the highlighted game as a background watermark if possible,in addition to displaying the screenshot as a smaller picture.

  I have experimented with mamewah and gamex which are both very nice. I am currently waiting for some Roms from a burner (which may or may not ever show up), so I don't really have much to test with. i dont have anything with videos or screenshots at the moment.

  please forgive the length of this post, I just wanted to give a little background info.

thanks,

Lon
