Not sure if there are official forums for Johnny 5 but if there are, I coudln't find them... Anyway, I'm just trying to install it and it works fine, shows me the screen, has the game name, controller type, etc... but just isn't showing the button labels. I didn't customize anything at all except to put in my mame.exe file location. I'm not sure if I'm missing a file or if I have something in the wrong place or what. Can anyone assist? Thanks. |

If you didn't put in a ctrlr file entry in the viewer options, then that may be your problem. I don't think there is an official forum per se, but you could probably post something on fe.donkeyfly.com if you can't figure it out yourself. |

Are you using an optimized build of Mame? I had the same issue when using mame64.exe, but my ini was named mame.ini. Mame ran fine but J5 had the exact problem you're describing. I copied mame.ini to mame64.ini and my labels appeared. J5 seems to require that your exe and ini file have the same name. |
