It certainly mentions that other infra-red sources (yellow lights/sunlight/reflections off the ground) will interfere with the gun. It may have an impact of range. I think the limit is 4-5meters. I also suspect based on the technology that you can't get too close - the gun presumably needs to see all the LED point sources at the same time. I will try when I get mine, although I don't have any tinted glass. (or a cab either...) --- End quote --- Tinted glass should not affect it at all.. think a hifi cabinet with a DVD player inside, very often the glass is tinted, yet you can still use your remote control just fine --- End quote --- I agree - just think about the IR LED "window" on most remotes themselves, the plastic is nearly opaque. I just thought it would be something else for the brave early adopters to have a look at before us slackers jumped on board. |

The RGT gun actually has 2 points of reference, there are two leds on the gun. The USB camera that I think you are talking about (Track IR with Vector Pro option) uses 3 points of reference. This new gun appears to use 5 points of reference. |

Sweet guys!!! Man I hope this works well (for two player too). Someone hurry up and post if the gun rocks or not. Oh and be sure to let me know first, so I can buy a couple guns and not have to worry about them being sold out everywhere because everyone else is buying them. :) |
