The program I am having with my LCD TOPGUN it works fine in windows and emulates the mouse. I can open up LCDgun2mouse 3.2 and all the buttons press and register. I click start. Go into mame and play a game and nothing works not even the start button to enter coins or any buttons let alone the pointer. What am I doing wrong?

What you're doing wrong is not reading the thread and not reading the Wiki like you were told to in your other thread!! Try reading the setup guide in the wiki.

Im sorry I read the silverfox thing. It doesnt address my question my gun is already setup. I mean if you have one I don't see why you can't just help me instead of giving me the run around. Do you not think i looked here prior to posting it is a huge forum, I looked through every page all 43 and found nothing explaining my issue.

You didn't look very far or very carefully then did you..... You also didn't tell us which version of Mame you are using, that makes it difficult to be accurate with an answer. However, try the following:

If your gun works in windows it WILL work in Mame.

Edit your mame.ini file to contain:

mouse 0
joystick 0
lightgun 0
dual_lightgun 0
lightgun_device lightgun

If that doesn't work then it may be that you're running a later version of Mame and another solution will be applicable. Things have changed slightly in recent releases.

I am using .111 mame. I already DID edit my mame.ini file and added that line just like I READ PRIOR TO POSTING. I had done all those things, tried all the drivers etc. I don't know what is wrong. maybe I will try a different version of mame. Or maybe I am choosing the wrong controller settings..

For my mame game properties what should my controllers and controller mapping be set to?

Also The hardest part for me to understand is why the buttons a-d and start and select work in the calibration and testing software but in the game they do not. The mouse is one thing but shouldnt my A key on the gun which is set to Coin in , work? That is why I am thinking I may just have my controller mapping messed up or something..
