Howdy all, for the first time I kind of ran into an issue on ebay. I bought a WWF Superstars PCB, and it took about 30 days to get here from the seller. I sent numerous emails, and got a few back, mostly just asking me to be patient. Well I finally got it and it works fine. I left neutral feedback because I thought 30 days was a bit of an extreme, especially since the seller lives in the same state. So I wake up this morning and find out the seller left me Negative feedback, my first negative mind you with 190+ positive. They basically called me rude and inpatient. I filed a report with ebay asking them to get the negative remove since I did nothing wrong. I paid for the item withing minutes of it ending, then just waited. I find it funny that the sell waited until they saw my feedback before posting feeback of their own. Anyway, so I email them pretty much asking them WTF? Not in those words of course. Now they claim, in their response to my neutral feedback, that USPS lost the item in shipping. Anyway, here is my original email to the seller. --- Quote ---You know what. I was being kind to just leave neatral and turn around and ruin my perfect rating because you didn't tell me ups lost the item? Waiting 30 days is far from being unreasonable and impatient. And telling me I should have picked up locally is a hoot. Why? I paid for shipping. --- End quote --- Their response was --- Quote ---You'll live, everyone gets a negative eventually. Take care. --- End quote --- Well that kind of set me off, so I replied back. --- Quote ---Wow, aren't you a real piece of work. I should have left you negative as well. I should have listened to the three other people I know in arizona that said stay clear of buying from you. --- End quote --- I have a few friends that run arcade shops, and said they had run ins with this seller before, about different things. Mostly when calling and asking questions. Anyway, their response was simple. --- Quote ---Wow! Only 3 people out of the hundreds that I have dealt with here in AZ. man what an a**hole. --- End quote --- So basically I try to make thing right when something goes wrong that I am selling. I try to make customer happy, you know. That way they want to come back to you. But in this case I am just in awe. I sent a long reponse back. --- Quote ---You know what, I don't understand what your problem is. I did nothing to warrant bad feedback. I paid the moment the auction was over. I did my part. But somehow it ticked you off that I left you neutral feedback. Then you come up with some lame lie about USPS losing it, and you had to send a new one. Except oh, the picture with the listing is the picture of the exact board I got, right down to the sticker placement and TEST OK hand writing on the sticker. But I guess you'll just say you took a picture of a different board than the one you originally sent out. It hard to believe you have a business at all with the stellar customer service. From day one you could have just told me, "I having a hard time getting it out, give me a few weeks." Something, anything. But no, you have a lame excuse. If it really did get lost, why the hell wouldn't you just email me and tell me that? I hardly think it's stupid to think and item should be to your door with in 10 days of winning and auctions. I've sold hundreds of item on ebay, and if there ever was a problem, I'd communicate that with the person that spent money buying something from me. It's common curtiousy. So yeah, I guess I'm the ---uvula--- for winning your auction and paying you with my money within minutes of it ending. I really have no clue what I possibly could have done to piss you off so much and warrant negative feedback. But oh well, like you said, I was bound to run into some ---uvula--- some day that would give negative feedback just because I possibly could have pestered him too much wondering where my merchandise was. Have a great life. --- End quote --- So I gotta ask, am I just taking this way to personally? I take pride in my work and when selling stuff I make sure the customers are happy. Even if I'm selling an xbox game or something. I want them to know that if there is a problem, I'll care of it. I guess I just expect too much out of people Anyway, this was more of a vent, and for all I know the seller frequents these boards. HoundDog42 or something was the seller. |

It sucks to get negative feedback but the seller as much as the buyer has as much right as you to give you negative feedback. There are just people like that on ebay. My advice to you as a buyer is never leave feedback until they do first. I believe you can do an update to the feedback on ebay or a reply to your own feedback that he left you. |

Yeah, I did that already. Thanks for the feedback advice. I know as a seller I leave feedback as soon as payment is received. I figure the buyer as fullfilled their end of the deal at that point. |

A lot of sellers hold your feedback hostage, even if you pay within seconds of closing. That is why I refuse to leave feedback, until it is left for me or just leave postive period. Ebay will not remove the feedback, maybe talk to the seller. I had someone do me dirty like that, so I stooped to his level and made dummy accounts just to leave three negs. LOL...... That person took me for my money and two months later I actually got the item............oops :P But two months is way to long to get an item. Even if it is overseas. |

From what ive found its very common for alot of sellers to hold off posting feedback till you leave feedback first.. (especially if there were problems with the sale) The only good ebayers that ive dealt with always post feed back staight after the payment has been received... In these situtions where the seller hasnt left any feedback first, and there were some problem with the item itself or with delivery, i reckon its best just to not leave feedback at all and leave it at that, as sure enough 9/10 times they will probably return neg feedback at you...
