Thinking about getting a light gun - quick question

Hi all,

I'm contemplating getting the act labs (vga) light gun for my mame cab. I have one quick question: will the light gun have any problems with a layer of clear plexi in front of the screen? If anybody has any experience one way or the other, I'd like to hear from you. Thanks in advance.

I have a USB TV light gun with plexi in front of the TV and have no issues.  I would assume the same would be true for the VGA version.

How about smoked plexi?  I have heard/read that it can be an issue, but I have never heard from someone who has actually tried it.
