Wow, Happ Ultimates really do stink...
Yoder:
I bought a Happ Ultimate not realizing that it was a Happ Ultimate (thought it was just a generic ebay joystick for a cheap project I'm working on). I installed it in my X-arcade box (perfect fit w/o mod.) to try it out, and it is absolutely garbage! Most games (4 AND 8 way) are basically unplayable because you're always hitting diagonals and your player just stops or goes the wrong direction! I can't believe these were ever installed in REAL arcade machines!
I'm assuming Happ Supers, Competitions, and Ultimate POS's all have the same footprint/bolt spacing...correct? Does anyone know what other joysticks are compatible? I'd like to try a few out in my X-arcade w/o having to cut it...esp the 49-way, but I doubt it's compatible with the X-arcade's encoder.

Happ 49-way, P-360, Wicos all have the same footprint. The 49-way is not compatible with the X-arcade encoder.
Yoder:
Thanks! And do these 3 share the same footprint as the other Happs (Ultimate, Super, Comp)? Sounds like I've got a lot of choices...except for the Ultimarcs.
TOK:
I like my Happ Comps. I did mount them using holes drilled for my original T-Stick +'s (didn't like stiff feel). If I remember correctly, the T-Stick bases were wider, but the holes lined up.
Going from T-Stick to Happ might be easier than the other way around.
JonnyBoy:
Was the hole for the shaft the same on the T-Sticks and the Happs? Didn't mean to rob your thread, just curious.
