I'm tempted to take another trip up to you Peale, but the converted Centipede I bought from you last year is still collecting dust in my garage  :banghead:
I think I'll take it to my workshop and see if I make any progress on it there after work hours.

Several cabinets were wheeled out today to be put on 'death row'.

Pictures were taken, but alas not with my camera.

They have *not* been destroyed yet.  But I don't believe we have long.

To add to the list:

Moon Patrol (empty) painted black with Neo Geo buttons.  I wish the original CP was not hacked up, but the company that had it before us removed the top and put a flat top on.

Bad Dudes dedicated.  We have two of them.

Alcon - in a Crystal Castles cab.

Cabal - Taito Classic cab

Come quickly, make an appointment for this weekend (preferably tomorrow).  Otherwise these beasties will *NOT* survive.

Oh OW on Moon Patrol and Crystal Castles.  If I had a truck I'd be there tomorrow.

Tell me about it.  They're still here - for this second.

We did break up a Nintendo cab today, though.  Was a Mario Bros converted to Bottom of the Ninth.  We even had a Mario Bros boardset and stuff we could have sold with it to convert it back.

I believe the Monaco GP cabinets are spoken for.  So is the Alcon cabinet.

$200-500 would be my best guess for 2 or 3 cabs...

Hey, you said "rough"...  ;)
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Since were talking about shiping to CA, How much for one Cab?

I live just north of San Francisco...would love to get my hands on one of these...but so far away.

If I could ship for ~$75-$100 I might be able to work something...dependant on what Peal wants for the Street fighter II. (PM me)

Can you fit more than one Cab on a pallet? Hmmm...

No, you're talking about $300 minimum for shipping to CA.  Definitely not worth it for a SF2 conversion.

NAVL ships by weight, not amount of items, and I believe the shipping rate on cabs would be "up to 500lb" or something very close to that.  That's why you can ship two cabs for the same price as one many times but you would definitely pay a lot more to ship three.

Hello there!

I live in portugal, i have near 120 euros and i wished to have a cabinet. On the downside, i lack experience with everything arcade related and i really wanted to play as much games as possible.

Is there anything suitable for me? :P

Sorry to ask but, it's for a good cause...

The money you would spend to get it shipped there would be better spent building your own...

Nope.  Also remember, looking to get rid of entire cabs here, not parts.

Woohoo!!!

The Turbo lives! Fixed the steering wheel, and had to replace some bulbs, move the monitor over (shifted a bit, perhaps in transit)

Thanks Peale, definitely worth the trip...

I would just like to state - again for those who didn't read every page - not doing parts.  Just entire cabs.  I've received many requests for parts, both common and obscure.

Just had to re-flow a couple of solder joints, and got the encoder board working! I'll play a game for ya...

If you're reading this, don't contact me about these games any more.  I no longer do work for the company that has these games.

Death to mumbles!

Hey, do you remember who it was that came in right after I left? I forgot to ask, I talked to him for a minute before he went inside. Was he cool guy, or the dastardly Mumbles?

Congrats on moving on, I'm sure it was a good decision...

Heh...it was better, then I quit.

Not to worry, things are inherently better.

That was Cool Guy.

And believe it or not, Mumbles wasn't the reason I left.  And that's all I'm saying on the matter.

We have two, count them two Bad Dudes cabinets.  Someone come get them!

Busted up another Virtua Racer today as well as another Final Lap.

Had to use a saw to cut up the seats on Virtua.  Looked like someone murdered Santa.

FYI to anyone who don't know, Bad dudes has a 25"monitor. I wish I lived up there...

I might have to console poor Wade. He has two fully restored Virtua Racer's in his gameroom.

Na, just as long as it wasn't MY VR Twins that got destroyed... ;)  Of course I might destroy them myself, some day.

Peale, did you pull the parts from the VR's?  A lot of the parts still have value, especially the monitor boards if they work and the CPU stacks.

Yes, the boards were pulled.  They're being 'gifted' to a repair outlet in exchange for some free parts/labor.
