| ChaosJohn:
I'm running the latest MAME32 on a Windows 2000 machine. I have both a trackball and a spinner working with it, but they're both pretty flaky. Examples: If I play Marble Madness, usually when I start it up, before I roll the trackball at all, the marble rolls off the back of the maze. If I roll as fast as I can in the other direction, I can just keep it on the maze, but not move it around. Sometimes if I fiddle with setup stuff for awhile it will work for a game or two, but it always comes back, even if I don't change the settings If I play Arkanoid, it forces the paddle all the way over to the right and I can just barely drag it away from the edge. Also, what's the difference between "digital speed" and "sensitivity"? John |

Digital has to do with digital controls......i.e a joystick or keyboard. Sensitivity controls analog controls such as a trackball, mouse, or spinner. |

Disable joysticks for these games. Also, you should calibrate your joysticks (or throw them out if they're gameport; gameports can uncalibrate quickly). |
