Basically the opposite of how they hold a joystick. I may be getting this wrong - there is a thread where someone was asking for critique's about their CP layout that it was in. --- End quote --- I agree. The only exception to this 'spinner on the right' thing that I can think of would be Tron, but unless you plan on adding a flight stick or top fire joystick, it wouldn't matter anyway. I would put the joystick on the left, then the buttons, and then the spinner for each player. Although I don't recall ever seeing a setup like that, I think it would be great for two player spinner games like blasteroids and racing games. |

I am going to try to make my own I have a simple design in my head and I have collected most of the parts so if it works out well I will post it. I was thinking of using at least one topfire joystick. Where is the best place for mouse buttons to go with the trackball? -Darryl |

I've been working with the input port code in mame a lot lately and I'm not sure Mame on Windows could handle 2 spinners. There is an OS specific map that maps mame inputs to OS inputs. In the code_map, a second dial is an ANALOG_VALUE_INVALID. If you think about it, what are you going to map the second spinner to? You can have more than one mouse in windows but the all control the same pointer. You might be able to map one to the mouse x axis and the other to the mouse y axis but I'm not sure how. |

It's possible to get MAME to recognize two spinners. Let's see, there was a thread recently... Here it is: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=36824.0 |
