ArcadeOS menu is snowing
« on: December 20, 2005, 07:31:23 pm »
I looked at my kids mini cabinet tonight and I noticed that the main menu shows snow falling over the menu screens.  It goes away when a game starts.  It's kind of funny.  Is this a feature for the season?

I'm to lazy to hook up a keyboard to investigate the Arcadeos settings.  It's entirely possible that my kids just hit the right button combo.  Although the menu settings are locked.

My setup:

ArcadeOS  running Vantage.
It's been running fine since July.
I've got the settings locked. (No keyboard at all)

The menu screen displays a full screen picture with the name of the game at the bottom of the screen.

Yep!  It's a feature.  Turns on somewhere close to xmas, not sure when it turns off.

Very cool.  My kids got a kick out of it.  Thanks for the quick reply!

I noticed that - I got the latest version working and I have a quick question... it doesn't seem to recognize where my ROMs are.  I went in and edited the "romfolder1=c:/....."  but that didn't help.  When I select add roms from the file menu, it expects the roms to be in drive A: - what's wrong?  where do I tell it where the roms are and how to find them?  I have my mame setup in something other than \mame  (\games\games\mame actually)
